Summary: The aim of the paper is to present a case of persistent noninfectious uveitis with macular oedema when treated with combined pharmacological-surgical method with intravitreal dexamethazone implant Ozurdex injection. In 63-years old female noninfectious uveitis with macular oedema was diagnosed in both eyes. After systemic steroids with side-effects, morphological and functional improvement wasn’t observed in both eyes. Methotrexate systemic therapy with side-effects wasn’t effective too and had to be withdrawn. One Ozurdex intravitreal injection was performed in the worse left eye. First time total resolution of macular oedema in the left eye was observed one month after injection but without significant functional improvement. After six months recurrence of macular oedema in the left eye was observed. Concluding, topical Ozurdex therapy is effective in resolution of uveitic macular oedema. It’s important that Ozurdex therapy is temporary, so repeated injections are necessary.
