Summary: Optical coherent tomography is currently the gold standard among imaging technologies used in diagnosis and monitoring of glaucoma. In the article, on the basis of the literature review, the discriminating abilities of the peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer and macular parameters as measured with optical coherence tomography, in all glaucoma patients and in different glaucoma subpopulations were discussed.
