Intraocular Pressure and Hysteresis Measurement in Eye – Using Digital Pascal Contour Tonometer and Ocular Response Analyzer (ORA)

Summary: Goldmann tonometry has been the standard in intraocular pressure diagnostics for dekades. However, still new research studies appear presenting modified, more precise correction method of the measured IOP pG. In the paper two previously described methods of the pG pressure correction and one new. developed in Wroclaw University of Technology. Action method and measurement possibilities of the PASCAL controur tonometer were presented, especially in case of dynamic measurements. Exemplary measurement results in a form of diagrams and possible interpretation methods and obtained data processing were showed. In the second part of the paper materials viscoelasticity conception called elastic hysteresis in corneal hysteresis measurements using ORA analyser (Ocular Response Analyser) were described.
