Summary: Benign and malignant intraocular tumors may lead to the intraocular pressure rise and consecutive glaucoma development. Consecutive glaucoma diagnosis in eyes containing tumor is difficult especially when there is hemorrhage, inflammation, cataract or retinal detachment. The authors discuss mechanism and cases of glaucoma in eyes with metastases, in eyes with most common primary intraocular tumor in adults – uveal melanoma (choroidal, ciliary body and iris melanoma, also ring melanoma) as well as rare tumors. Special attention was paid to neovascular glaucoma associated with tumors.
Keywords: secondary glaucoma, intraocular tumors, uveal melanoma, metastases, neovascular glaucoma.
