Summary: Purpose: The role of Fluorescein Angiography as a diagnostic method in patients suspected of APMPPE.
Material and Methods: 21-year old man presented with a sudden vision deterioration in his left eye and severe headache with signs
of upper respiratory tract infection. We made a comprehensive eye and fundus examination, fluorescein angiography, head MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), basic laboratory and serological tests. Attention was drawn to numerous yellow-creamy lesions in the posterior pole of both eyes and hypo- and hyperfluorescent areas shown in fluorescein angiography images.
Conclusions: Acute Posterior Multifocal Placoid Pigment Epiteliopathy is a rare disorder with an unclear pathogenesis. Typical course
of the disease and characteristic fluorescein angiography images determine the final diagnosis.
