Summary: Uveitis is the term subscribing inflammatory process of the uvea. International Uveitis Study Group (IUSG) proposed simplified clinical classification of uveitis, taking into consideration anatomic position of the inflammation in the eye. To standardize the methods for reporting data in the field of uveitis The Standarization of Uveitic Nomenclature Working Group (SUN) prepared propositions for classification, description of symptoms severity, onset, duration and course of the disease. The international data describe differences in etiology, severity, outcome and socioeconomic costs of the treatment and visual impairment in developing and developed world.
