Summary: Radiotherapy plays a key role in the treatment of the head and neck organs cancer. The enormous progress, which has been made in recent years, has led to the possibility of using high and homogeneous dose of medicine in the treated area at the same time preserving the neighboring critical organs. Using the latest treatmen planning techniques made it possible to significantly reduce radiation damage of the healthy tissues. This paper presents the current methods of treatment planning and the complications of the ocular organ that may occur following radiation therapy.
