Summary: Purpose: The aim of this paper was to present issues related to microinvasive glaucoma surgery.
Material and Methods, Discussion: The paper presents definition of microinvasive surgery in glaucoma treatment, as well as classification, implantation techniques and mechanism of most frequently used implants. This paper is based on the most important indications and research presented in literature.
Conclusions: Microinvasive techniques are based on physiological aspects of aqueous humour flow but their role in the algorithm for glaucoma treatment requires further clarification.
