Summary: Cataract (lat. Cataract) is one of the most common eye diseases, especially in the elderly. Currently in clinical practice intraocular lens implantation treatment is not only to remove the clouded natural lens and restore useful visual acuity, but also to correct refractive errors, and presbyopia. Independence of spectacle correction is one of the main aims of modern cataract surgery. As we age, the lens becomes increasingly heavier and thicker, losing at the same time accommodative ability. The study presented characteristics of WIOL-CF bioanalogic, intraocular lens, its structure and mechanism of action, as an alternative to multifocal and accommodative lenses.
