Summary: Haab’s striae are healed, linear ruptures of Descemet’s membrane, predominatingly associated with primary congenital glaucoma. The reason for their formation is the stretching of the cornea mainly resulting from the rapid inflow of aqueous fluid to its stroma. Although they seem quite easy to recognize, they can cause many diagnostic traps. It is important to know the characteristic appearance and configuration of Descemet’s membrane ruptures, same as to carefully collect the medical history during examination. In the article we presented the characteristics of other types of corneal anomalies, it is worth knowing the differential diagnosis of Haab’s striae to avoid false suspicion of childhood glaucoma.
