Summary: We report the case of a patient with corneal argyrosis of both eyes due to ocular injury caused by colloidal silver. This was treated by penetrating keratoplasty, cataract phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation as a primary procedure. Subsequently, the patient underwent trabeculectomy in both eyes which resulted in a significant improvement of visual performance and normalization of the intraocular pressure. We report the histopathological findings in the cornea in which greyish brown granular silver material deposits were demonstrated in Bowman’s membrane, deep stroma and in Descemet’s membrane. Histological analysis revealed potential Dua’s layer presence.
