Summary: Purpose: To analyze anterior segment morphology and measurements obtained from two anterior segment optical coherence tomography systems. Design: Case report Material and Methods: 55-year old patient with lattice corneal dystrophy was examined. The patient underwent deep anterior keratoplasty in the left eye 18 months earlier. Slit lamp examination was performed. Corneal thickness, anterior segment morphology and angle measurements were assessed and compared with two systems: Visante OCT (Carl Zeiss Meditec, Inc, Dublin, California, USA) and RTVue FD-OCT Corneal Anterior Module system (Optovue, Inc. Fremont, CA, USA). Results: There was a significant difference between two systems in hyperreflective corneal changes visualization in OCT image of the right eye. FD-OCT image was more accurate and precise. Images of the left eye from both systems showed proper graft attachment. In both eyes, during FD-OCT we had to use different protocols to access angle morphology and measurements while one Visante AS-OCT scan provided information about the whole anterior chamber parameters. Anterior segment measurements were comparable for both systems. Conclusions: Visante OCT system has lower resolution, but in one anterior chamber image, all the anterior chamber structures are visible, while RTVue provides very precise information about small fragments of anterior chamber.
Keywords: optical coherence tomography, anterior chamber, lattice corneal dystrophy.
