Summary: In 62 children in II/III stage of localization method treatment authors used spherical hypercorrection of hyperopia and prismatic lenses to correct strabismus angle and to achieve symmetrical stimulation of both retinas at distance and near. Although a little decrease of visual acuity at distance (0.6-0.9 Snellen) was noted, the method helps to achieve symmetrical retinal stimulation at various distance and gradual decrease of prismatic correction of the strabismus. Average angle of strabismus was 25.5o before treatment. There was reduction of angle of strabismus and decrease of prismatic correction in all children. Of 62 children angle was reduced to 0o in 14 patients, to 3o-7.5o in 25 patients, to 12.5o-17.5o in 23 patients. In course of average 8 months treatment period binocular vision was achieved: full in 9, partial in 25, and trace in 22 children.
