Skuteczność i tolerancja preparatów Dexamytrex i Maxitrol u pacjentów po fakoemulsyfikacji zaćmy

Effectivity and tolerance confections of Dexamytrex and Maxitrol in patients after phacoemulsifications cataract surgery

Summary: Purpose: The aim of our study was to compare confections of Dexamytrex and Maxitrol in eye drops and ointment in postoperative treatment after phacoemulsification cataract surgery. Materials and methods: In our prospective study we examined 120 patient (120 eyes), 32 patients were excluded. 88 persons were aleatory divided in two equal groups: group A - use Dexamytrex, group B - use Maxitrol. The patients didn't use any mydriatics, and stopped treatment after 4 weeks. Results: During postoperative period patients treated witch Maxirol had conjuctival injection in 36,6% cases, deep injection in 9,09% and tyndalisation in anterior chamber in 54,54%. We didn't find any fibrinous exudate, keratit precipitate or posterior synechiae. Patients treated witch Dexamytrex had conjunctinal injection in 54,54% cases and tyndalisation in anterior chamber in 81,81%. We didn't find any other manifestation of inflamation. Maxitrol was tolerated very well in 81,82% cases, well in 9,09% and tolerance was reduced in 9,09%. Dexamytrex was tolerated very well in 90,91% case and well in 9,09. Conclusion: Dexamytrex and Maxitrol use after phacoemuslification is harmless and effectiveeven without any mydriatics. These aplication confections did not elevate intraocular pressure. Cost of the treatment is comparable.
