Summary: Purpose: The aim of this study is to present a case of 14-years old patient with enhanced S-cone syndrome (ESCS).
Methods: The routine ophthalmologic examination, eye fundus photographs, color vision, kinetic visual field, static perimetry 30-2 B-Y and W-W, and flash ERG were performed.
Results: The ESCS diagnosis was based on the clinical evaluation, static perimetry and ERG.
In comparison with the M and L-cones the greater sensitivity of S-cones was noted in the automated static perimetry. The ERG showed characteristic similar waveforms in scotopic and photopic conditions with white single flash stimuli (0 dB).
Conclusions: The enhanced S-cone syndrome is a slowly progressive disease. The diagnosis is very important for patient because of the more favorable prognosis in comparison with the autosomal recessive retinitis pigmentosa. The ERG is a very useful test for ESCS diagnosis establishing.

Keywords: ESCS, S-cones hypersensitivity, static perimetry, ERG.
