Summary: Purpose:To report the treatment of patient with pigment epithelial detachment.
Material and Methods: The 66-years old female was referred for the treatment due to diagnosed pigment epithelial detachment. The routine ophthalmological examination, optical coherence tomography and fluorescein angiography were performed.
Results: Distance vision deterioration, positive Amsler test and macular changes revealed in optical coherence tomography in the left eye were observed. The fluorescein angiography showed serous fluid observed under pigment epithelial detachment.
Conclusions: Based on the obtained results serous pigment epithelial detachment was diagnosed. The patient was referred for anti-VEGF therapy. Treatment was modified because of progressive macular changes which were observed mainly in the optical coherence tomography scans.
