Summary: Microperimetry is the study to analyze the sensitivity of the retina to the light stimuli, which are presented in exactly determined during the test area of the retina.
Microperymetry is a valuable diagnostic method allowing simultaneous anatomical and functional evaluation of the retina. This examination allows to deepen the diagnosis, monitor the progression of the disease and evaluate the results of the treatment in macular diseases.
The aim of the article is to discuss the principle of microprimetry and its application in clinical practice.
